We keep service descriptions, prices, availability, and professional profiles up to date, but errors can occur. The price shown is the total you pay — no booking fee is added unless we disclose it as a separate line in the price breakdown. For VAT on the work itself, your contract is with the professional — see Terms “Prices and payment”. Catalogue pricing, area adjustments, and two-hour arrival windows are platform availability, not a live view of a single professional's diary. Where we discover a material error after you book, we will tell you and you can cancel for a full refund.

Professionals on Urban Assist are independent businesses, not our employees. They are responsible for the quality, safety, and legality of the work they carry out. Your contract for the work itself is with the professional; your contract with us is for the platform and payment handling — see Terms of use “Who you are contracting with”.

We vet professionals and monitor standards, but we do not supervise each job. A profile, a rating, or a booking confirmation is not a guarantee of outcome.

Content on the site — including help articles, FAQs, and chat — is general information, not professional advice. For regulated work (for example, electrical, gas, or structural matters), the on-site professional's judgement and any required certifications prevail. If you are unsure whether a job needs a qualified or certified professional, ask before booking.

We aim for high availability, but we do not guarantee that the site will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Maintenance, third-party outages (for example, upstream infrastructure, payment, or messaging providers), or events beyond our control can temporarily affect access, messaging, or booking. Where a booking is affected, we will update you in the app and by email.

Links to third-party sites and content posted by users (including reviews and messages) are provided for convenience. We do not endorse them and we are not responsible for their accuracy or availability. Reviews are the author's own views; we remove those that breach our Acceptable use policy or Community guidelines but we do not edit reviews to improve a rating.

This disclaimer does not limit our responsibility where it would be unlawful to do so. We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other matter that cannot be excluded under English law.

Subject to that, we are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking our terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by a professional's failure where the contract for the work is between you and the professional. Our Terms section “Our responsibility to you” states the same position in full.
